VOLUNTEERS provide a very important service in our Park offices.  Opportunities are open to serve the public at the Wilderness Informaton Center Desk, in the Visitors Center, and across the Park.

"I volunteer in the Volunteer Coordinator's office where I read many interesting letters requesting Park information.  They come from all over the world, so the stamps and penmanshp are beautiful.  I especially enjoy the ones from our elementary and high school students doing class projects and needing maps and (my favorite) unique, indigenous animal prints (marmot).  There's a lot of information handed out yearly at ONP and this is where it's printed and distributed.

"Volunteering is so important to America and Americans.  With budgets being strapped, volunteers ensure the programs can continue.  It costs so little to give a little of our time to one of the places in the world you want to continue to enjoy and share with others.  If more people would volunteer, the world would be much smaller and cleaner!  ONP offers good people a chance to work with other good people, and that's good for everyone!"

There are many areas where your help and participation would be appreciated!  Every pair of hands and every moment of time preserves this treasure for future generations.  For more information, see Olympic NP Volunteer opportunities.
